We are embarking on a journey of discovery and practice in search of sacred working partnerships between and among Jewish clergy and lay leaders.
Sacred partnership means making the conscious choice to lead together with a Jewish heart. It is a partnership that springs from and is nourished by the wisdom of our tradition. Sacred partnership embraces the notion that “getting real work done in the complex world of congregational life” isn’t good enough. We must do the work in ways that lift us up — in ways that embody kavod, compassion, and mutual learning.
Through this blog, we will write about, reflect upon, and search for the finest examples of healthy, productive, and yes, sacred, partnerships within congregations. Here is where we will share with one another how a sacred working relationship is co-created and sustained to enrich our lives and the lives of those around us.
